Company Overview

XNOR Group is a global tech consulting firm delivering AI-powered solutions to international clients across FinTech, Healthcare, Retail, eCommerce, and Logistics in North America, Western Europe, and Southeast Asia. We’re building an AI-native delivery org, and we want a sharp final-year student to grow with us.

Position Overview

We’re hiring a Fresher AI Engineer, a final-year university student or recent graduate, to help us build the AI systems and automation that power XNOR from the inside.

You’ll work directly with the founder on real production work: internal AI tools, agentic workflows, and the frameworks that will eventually automate parts of our engineering and delivery process. This is not a “demo and pitch” role – it’s a “build, measure, ship, iterate” role. You start with bounded prototypes; as you grow, the scope grows with you.

What You’ll Build

  • Internal AI tools: RAG systems over company docs, knowledge bases, sales/proposal helpers, client-context assistants.
  • Agentic workflows that automate parts of our engineering and delivery process, code review helpers, ticket triage, doc generation, status reporting, and retro synthesis.
  • MCP servers (Model Context Protocol) connecting our daily tools, ClickUp, GitHub, MS Teams, and SharePoint to AI agents.
  • Evaluation harnesses to measure whether our AI systems actually work in production (golden datasets, LLM-as-judge, regression tests).
  • Small prototypes for client demos, when sales need a working example fast, you help ship it.

Required (Must-Have)

  • Strong CS fundamentals: Data structures, algorithms, OOP, async, clean code. University coursework or strong self-study is fine.
  • Solid Python: You’ve written non-trivial programs, not just notebook snippets.
  • Working TypeScript / JavaScript (or strong willingness to learn fast; we use both).
  • Have built something real with LLMs: called an API in code, shipped a RAG demo, written a simple agent. Not just “chatted with ChatGPT”.
  • Daily user of AI coding tools: Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, or similar, and you have opinions about which works for what.
  • Conceptual grasp of prompting, tokens, embeddings, RAG, tool/function calling, and basic agent loops.
  • Solid working English: read docs, write good prompts, communicate clearly in writing.
  • Self-driven curiosity: you research, prototype, fail, retry without being told.
  • Final-year student (or recent graduate) can commit ~2540 hours per week, hybrid schedule.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol): building or consuming MCP servers.
  • Played with agent frameworks: LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Pydantic AI, CrewAI, or similar.
  • Hands-on with open-source models: (Llama, Mistral, Qwen, DeepSeek) via Hugging Face, Ollama, or vLLM.
  • Front-end basics in React/ Next.js: enough to ship small UIs for internal tools.
  • Familiar with AI evaluation tools: Ragas, deepeval, Langfuse, LangSmith, or similar.
  • GitHub portfolio, blog posts, or open-source contributions, even small ones.
  • Awareness of AI safety basics: hallucination, prompt injection, and data privacy.
  • Coursework in math, statistics, or ML is a plus, not required.

You’ll Thrive Here If You’re

  • Curious and fast-learning: you read papers, try tools, and share what you learn.
  • Comfortable shipping a scrappy v1: done beats perfect; iteration beats over-thinking.
  • Self-organized: you manage your own time and meet commitments, even alongside school.
  • Pragmatic about tools: you pick what fits, not what’s trendy.
  • Excited by the AI-meets-business problem, not just the tech for tech’s sake.

Personal Attributes

  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability for delivering high-quality work.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-centric mindset.
  • Adaptable to fast-paced environments and comfortable working with evolving requirements.
  • Passionate about staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Why Join Us?

  • Direct founder mentorshipyou’ll learn how international AI consulting actually works, from live client deals to delivery operations.
  • Our team will use real production work, not throwaway demos, and the systems you build to deliver client projects.
  • Modern AI-native stackagentic IDEs, MCP, RAG, agent frameworks, open-source models. The tools that senior engineers elsewhere are still asking permission to use.
  • Clear growth pathstrong performers move into full-time AI engineer roles after graduation, with expanding scope into engineering automation and delivery frameworks.
  • Flexible hybrid schedule that respects your final-year coursework and thesis timeline.
  • Competitive fresher salary + performance bonuses, holiday gifts, and team activities. Salary grows with proven impact.

How to Apply

To apply for the AI Engineer role, send your CV, GitHub link, and 1–2 examples of AI projects you’ve built via the application form or by email to career@xnorgroup.com.

Bonus (strongly encouraged): a 3–5 sentence note answering one of these

(a) The most interesting AI tool/concept you’ve tried recently and why

(b) One engineering workflow you’d automate with AI if given a free afternoon

(c) Something the AI hype gets wrong, in your opinion.
